Your ultimate guide to S/S 2013

1. Pearl sunglasses- They are quirky and OTT but are a huge hit for this summer.

2.   One colour head to toe- We've had clashing colours and block colours in the previous seasons, but this season it’s all about one shade head to toe. Remember exact colour matches are crucial to pull this trend off.

3.  Citrus hues- Lime green, tangerine and yellow are this season’s must wear colour. This is the fruity season!

  4. Oversized earrings- Think colour, think big and think jewels. The spotlight should be on the lobes.

5. The shoulder bag- Put down the clutch and use your hands for something else. This season the shoulder bag is back. Whether oversized or mini, the shoulder bag is everywhere. Try a boxy shape one!

6.    Oversized hats- The bigger the better when it comes to this trend. Think super-sized versions of classics such as the boater or fedora.

7. Coloured leather- Colour is in, so buy your leather in bright colours.

8.    Floral accessories- If floral clothing is too extreme, which it is, then try floral accessories.

9.    The return of the boot cut- It’s back!!

10.    The slogan tee- Tee’s are big this season, so go and buy one!!!

The Bling King

A trend to look out for this s/s 2013 is the Metallic shoe. This is a trend which is small but effective. This is the season for the show-off shoe. If you’re planning to add bling to your feet, remember to keep your accessories simple and plain as your shoes will do all the talking.

Try metallic flats or heels just like these celebrities have!!

The Trouser Troupe

To stand out from the crowd go for a two-piece tailoring instead of a dress. This trend is so simple, so minimal and so chic.  Try the suit in monochrome or block colour.

Celebrities such as Anne Hathaway and Emma Roberts have worked the look on the red carpet. They both look effortless, fashionable and chic.

This is a must try trend for S/S 2013!!

He has managed to blend the worlds of both cartoons and high fashion together successful. Many critics have responded very positively to his collection. This is not something new for Jeremy, who has previously seen success for his winged trainers for Adidas. The shoes instantly became a phenomenon.

The Jeremy Scott Fall/Winter 2012 Collection has been done very tastefully. He has remained the essence of cartoons into his fashion without making the clothes to over the top or very Avant Garde.

Jeremy Scott has designed for many celebrities such as BeyoncĂ©, Lady Gaga and Britney Spears for her Toxic video. In return celebrities have been seen wearing and supporting Jeremy’s cartooned inspired fashion. Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj and Rihanna have all worn his collection on the red carpet or on stage.

When looking at cartoons and why they have made a major impact in fashion, it’s best to have a look at the creator of the largest animated show in history, Seth Macfarlane. Seth is a writer, producer, cartoonist, singer, multimillionaire and all round genius. He is the creator of the funny show Family guy. Family guy has become the most successful animated show in history; it is a 2 billion dollar empire. Seth is also the creator and writer of other hit shows such the American dad and The Cleveland show.

Thanks to Seth, he has made animations important to us again. Many people who watch these shows see the characters as iconic. The characters from these shows become celebrities in their own right. Jeremy Scott was clever enough to blend two things that many people love right now which are cartoons and fashion. People see these characters as cute and end up buying their merchandise. So who doesn't want to buy a high fashion version of a Bart Simpson shirt ???

Talking about Seth Macfarlane, check him out when he hosts the 2013 Oscars. We can all expect some great comedy from this guy!
